It's All About Light Night
Light Night happens once a year, its an arts and cultural festival with street performances, light projections, street exhibitions, walks, talks and hand on events that happen all over the city which truly bring the city to life. I had always wanted to do it as the festival has been running for 6 years now, but this time of year is always exams or revising take over! Yesterday I had my first exam, It was horrible to say the least so we ended up going to Light Night as my mum thought I needed a break and to get out of the four walls I had been stuck in revising!
So we did, after tea in Tabac Café yummmm, we headed to F.A.C.T, which was a exhibition that explored the complex relationship between technology, society and mental health. With light projections to represent hypnosis, where you had to lay on the floor as the screen was on the ceiling and artefacts like an early Electroconvulsive machine! We then went to one of my favourite places in Liverpool, The Anglican Cathedral, which had loads going on! There where all drumming bands outside and inside in each chapel there where all different art installations, we even got involved with some finger printing! The finale was a light projection on the ceiling of the cathedral was amazing!!
