It's All About My First Match

As my friends know I am not the biggest fan of football, But who can resist an opportunity. So when Brad surprised me with two tickets to a Liverpool Game, I was thrilled, I had always wanted to go myself, After hearing so many stories from class mates about there first games! So I put my scarf on and warmed my singing voice for the Liverpool V Middlesbrough Game And it didn't disappoint! The first shock was the stadium and grounds, I cant tell you how many times I have driven past it but when your standing in its shadow you realise how BIG it actually is! So after getting in and sitting down the crowd began to sing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' which was an experience in its self, You realise that for many football isn't just a game it comes pretty close to religion! So after the singing the game began and with a hot dog in between as we came to added time the score was 2-1 to Liverpool many settled thinking that there was no way Middlesbrough could come back in less than 2 minutes, well they did and as the match ended the score was 2-2.But that wasn't the end of the match, because it was a cup game, or something of the other (remember I have no clue about football so bear with me) It went to penalties and then it got tense! So after each team took there five penalties they where still tie so it went to SUDDEN DEATH DUH DUH DUUHHHHH! I have no clue what sudden death was and still really don't but all the players had to take a penalty each up to the goal keepers because the teams where still drew! It was by far the most nail biting experience of my life! I have never heard a crowd roar like it when Middlesbrough missed the crowd just went wild, me included! I would say doesn't even matter if you like football, go to a match! I didn't have a clue what was going on and I shocked myself how much I got into the game by the end!
