The Berlin Blogs - Day One

As I have mentioned in a few posts from the past (just a few) that I was going to Berlin with my boyfriend on holiday, well it’s been and gone, and happened way too fast for my liking!  For the Five days we where there we filled our time with everything Berlin culture had to offer, So I thought I would give you a rundown of what we got up to and all the awesome sights we got to see!

So day one, we rocked up at John Lennon airport hours ahead of our flight, got ourselves checked in and then worked our way  to the lounge to chill and wait for the gate number to come up, even then I don’t think It had sunk in that we were going away on our own! For both of us it was the first time we had been away ‘alone’, both of us had been abroad without our parents with school but your still supervised and you don’t have to plan transport, meals, money, tickets, check in, just everything is done for you! It did finally sink in when we reached the other side, when we touched down in schönefeld airport, and it hit me where in a foreign country, where we knew no one or no where! But we carried on jumping in a taxi to get to our hotel, which was so nice, in the center of Berlin, which was so helpful because we could walk into the heart of city with in 5 minutes! By the time we got to the hotel, became settled it was around 6, so we decided just to go on a little stroll and explore the area J as we were strolling we stumbled across a McDonald's, which being a familiar sight we went in for tea, once the language barrier was crossed and two medium hamburger meals had been ordered and eaten, we traveled back to the hotel at around 8 and planned Tuesday and the start of our adventure!
