One
of the main places to visit on the bucket list was the Victoria Gallery and
Museum, after visiting twice and finding it all locked up and closed, we were
eager to see if the phrase ‘third time lucky’ was true, And it actually was!
First of all we had a cup of tea in the cafe, which was beautiful with hand
carved decorations in the stone walls and the biggest tiled fire place I have
ever seen! We then decided after an hour it was time to actually get up and see
what was in the museum, there was a huge section on the Large Hadron Collider
and CERN, there was also a Victorian explorers tent set up sadly I don’t know
why as we just ran in and started to dress up! (As you can tell in the photos
below) there was also a display about teeth and dentistry through the ages and
hundreds of animals in jars! After spending a good while in there we got lunch
and headed down to the Tate Gallery where they had a exhibit on certain artists and
artists that had branched off using them as inspiration, I have to admit it took
us a good 35 minutes to figure that out and after we watched a 12 minute video
of a man commenting on people walking along a high street it was time to leave ahaha! To finish the day
went to McDonalds’ for FOUR hours and literally put the world to right! Such a good day cant wait for the next one!
