Last week, we had a very busy day! The plan was to visit the Victoria Gallery and Museum but when we arrived at half ten barely awake we realised it was closed for Christmas which was a little disappointing. But all was not lost with quick thinking someone suggested we visit the Cathedrals instead as that was something else on our Liverpool Bucket List. So off we went, we first of all visited the Metropolitan Cathedral which is a rather strange building its self but absolutely stunning, inside the sun was beaming through the coloured glass created such a beautiful atmosphere! On the way to the second Cathedral, The Anglican, we had a little break in the cutest cafe ever where I honestly thought it started to snow but apparently it was rain (still believe it was snow) when we finally got to the cathedral we took forever staring at every crook and cranny of the place most of us came out moaning and rubbing our necks from staring at the ceiling! After all this it was time to eat for sure, so we went for bacon and chip butties in a pub, and I am impressed and pretty proud to say we all finished our butties and bowls of chips in under than 5 minutes, It was like we had never seen food before!
The reason we were in such a rush is because the next thing on the to do list was the planetarium, which I have wanted to visit since I was a child but it had always been fully booked or something else got in the way! We went to both shows and I can’t lie to you we where the oldest people in there and it was so amazing! And I finally got to see it for my own eyes! We went to see two shows and in the time interval between the two shows we thought we would have a little wander round the museum and we found ourselves in a exhibition called ‘Magic Worlds’ which was a hall filled with every fantasy story you could dream on, including Harry Potter, Narnia, Alice and Wonderland and so many more! The 7 of us turned into 10 year olds again we became so excited, like kids in a sweet shop, is the only thing to describe us ahahaha! So after returning to the planetarium for the second show, We then plodded on to Rococo Coffee House, for a drink and to catch our breath back but we had such a busy, but wonderful day! Some of my favourite photos of the day are below :)
