It's All About the 1975
Yesterday
I went to Manchester with my friends, the reason we went was to see the band, the
1975! The gig was AMAZING, they sounded even better live than in my headphones
on the bus! Even though I turned up to the train station, where all my friends were waiting to leave, and I still had sponge roller in my hair over all the excitement ahaha! The set list was incredible they sang everything, keeping the
atmosphere going, with everyone swaying and singing their ‘heart out’ (you will
get the pun if you have listened to the album ahaha) Even better Swim Deep were the support act so how could anyone complain!! But yeah the set was so
simple with only 5 light rectangles representing the
album cover artwork, but it was all that was needed, your eyes where permanently fixed on
the band, and the crowd to see if you were swaying in the right direction
ahaha! I have loved the band since I first heard there song 'The City' in a little vintage
shop and whipped my phone out to shazam it straight away, and then when the
album came out, I was straight into town after sixth form to buy the album :) So getting to see them
live was mind-blowing! But sadly we had to leave early to catch the train home and missed the track 'Girls', But all wasnt lost, Instead we played it on the train platform and danced around the bench, It was the best part of the night havent laughed so much, if only I could have the video footage to keep, and dont worry the platform and whole entire train statation was empty :) If you ever get a chance to see them go, I highly recommend
it, you won’t be disappointed!
