It's All About National Cancer Conference

 I got the opportunity last month with three other friends studying biology and my teacher to go along to the National Cancer Research Institute Conference 2013, which was held on our door step, in the Echo Arena. It was such an amazing experience, We had the chance to meet some incredibly inspirational people, We got to meet the researchers who are in the heat of the fight tying to defeat cancer, and the new techniques they are using for early detection. We also got the chance to meet four incredible people who have battled cancer and are now coming out the other side fighting! Margret, Terry, Tom and Richard told us about their experiences and how they think the system for patients with cancer should be changed. It was quite a moving day and made you realise how precious life really is, and a day I will never forget. To top it all off, the other day my mum was reading the paper and spotted Terry had wrote a small piece in the local paper, which was so nice!
